these people believe they're going to gain instant acceptance to Paradise. For the men, they've been convinced that they'll spend eternity being serviced by willing women ("Whorehouse Heaven"). Far from fearing death, they welcome it. The Japanese warriors embraced a similar mindset during WWII. They were taught that to die in battle for the Emperor was to go straight to heaven.

It's hard for most westerners to comprehend how willing some people are to die for a cause. It's even harder to comprehend how willing they are to take as many people as possible with them. Be it a Kamakazi or Kaiten pilot, a Tamil Tiger, or a Palestinean suicide bomber, they're all manifestations of a death cult seeking to inflict maximum carnage on their enemies.
