Aerospace companies that build rockets (Lockmart, Boeing) are not at all interested to reduce the cost of launching satellites into space: every time a rocket is launched, it brings a lot of money in the builder's pockets and they are very happy about it! And as a result, it remains an expensive (and volatile) business.
The US a wonderful place? Defintely and largely thanks to Theodore Roosevelt who created the National Parks.
I've visited the US 11 times to see:
The Niagara Falls
Washington DC and all its museums at the Mall
Orlando and its attractions (until 1986) around it
Estes Park (Colorado)
Dinosaur National Monument Colorado-Utah
Salt lake City
Sacramento, San Francisco, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Malibu, L.A.
Edwards AFB, Death Valley,Sequoia national park, Yosemite, Monument Valley, Zion,Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Mesa Verde; Yellowstone, Grand Teton....
And I forget others.....
The US is a great country!
