We should make it a national priority
to replace all power plants ran on petroleum based products by the year 2020. Such a move would greatly reduce our need for foriegn oil. To do this we would need to increase the number of nuclear reactors in this country to around 250 or so. The Westinghouse AP600 and AP1000, along with advanced coal fired plants, would help make this a reality. Massive funding into fussion research would lead to unlimited energy production in the 2025-2050 time frame.
