I think the mistake in your logic is in assuming that the terrorist organizations are not already closely affiliated with several of the governments in the region.

Why worry about Al'Qieda merging with the governments if the governments are already giving Al'Qieda everything it needs to survive and flourish.

We really have no choice but to say to those governments: "Your either with us or against us."

And they really have no choice except to be either with us or against us. In time, those who take the side against us will be undermined by THEIR duplicity--Not ours.

Other than that, I would say we are on the same page Bowser.
