<Sadam's Plan? We can only wish...he wants to hand us the country!
If this is true, and I believe that it is for the most part...Sadam sees his cities as the high ground... And as I said before this would be a foolish mistake: I think he is planning for the last war which is a sure fire war to lose the next war.
I would expect all the cities to be quickly isolated. Then they would fall one-by-one. No starvation tactics would NOT be needed; although, we can expect to hear that they are being used...Part of this will be Sadam's disinformation campaign as he tries to make the best (or worse) out of the situation...This will backfire and play into OUR hands it helps encourage the quick surrender of most of the the isolated cities...Eventually leaving Sadam and a handful of loyal supporters in the last remaining hold-out city.
Which they can keep.
The United States will set up air bases and a new navel port in Southern Iraq and a transition government that will rule the rest of the oil-rich nation and sign a treaty giving the bases to the United States. We may even give an air base or two to the Russians as a goodwill gesture and to show the world that we are not out to rule the world.
The United States and Israel and their allies will then have Iran and Syria completely surrounded. The logistical planning for the 2003 anniversary of 9/11 party will begin once the US Air bases in Iraq are set up.
Who needs Prince Sultan Airbase.

(Maybe I was wrong about Iraq being a head fake...It is starting to sound to easy...I got to stop playing "Risk" it may be impairing my strategic thinking.)
