Nationalism and foreign policy (capitalism), uses our military and intelligence agencies to go in and steal or procure another countries goods or natural resources by supplying arms to their sympathetic rebels or dictators. We have gone into MANY countries and the blood of it's natives are on our hands. No wonder we have spawned so many enemies.
Their nations were sovereign and their people were innocent.
We often get them to the bargaining table, bloodied and on their knees.
We we don't always ask politely first.
These same agencies also bow out, disappear, change the terms of the contract once they get what they want (their resources).
This also produces contempt and a feeling of being used.
Well, if you're a Texan.........might makes right, I guess.
"Beware the military industrial complex"......a quote from Eisenhower in 1952, I think.
He saw the right gaining ground to conquer the world, built on a combination of ideals of two groups after WW II........the OSS and the SS, whose most brilliant scientists and military minds joined with the largest oil, steel, chemical and communication industries to produce a fourth reich hidden under a blanket of national security.
First with the CIA, then the NSA and aided and abetted by certain key people in the FBI.
And this is our democracy.
