The US will urge the UN Security Council to pass a resolution to force Iraq to allow the weapons inspectors back in to search for and destroy all WMD. After much haggling the Security Council will adopt a vaguely worded resolution urging Iraq to do so, or else...something might happen. The US and the UK will point to this new resolution, as well as other past ones, as they launch the inevitable military campaign to get Saddam to "comply". Other countries will complain that the vaguely worded resolution didn't really mean the US and the UK had the right to go to war against Iraq, and they will attempt to score as many political points as possible with this before Saddam is annihilated, hopefully by his own Iraqi troops when they realize what's really, finally coming this time. At this point the tone of the international community will change drastically as every nation tries to get very chummy with the new provisional government of Iraq, and wants to talk urgently with whatever new minister is in charge of petroleum...
