Kindly explain your view of the role of fortified, guarded, armored military posts in the real towns and real villages of America. Be delighted to hear that.
(Be careful. I've been to a couple of county fairs, and to a lot of countries where there are army posts absolutely everywhere, fortified, armored, guarded. And you're right, there are no terrorists there. No voting either, a conservatives idea of heaven. Just listen to the local Rush.)
Remember, these small towns have a police force for public peacekeeping.
Don't trot out some isolated incident where the NG was called out after 4 days of handwringing by politicians. Or where the poorly trained for that mission NG panicked and shot students. Those aren't really military roles. (Maybe in this administration, but not in others.)
But, if you have to use those things, go ahead. If that's your case, then present it. Love to hear it.
