more diatribe.
D. S. - "If it frightens you so much, get a bill going in Washington to disarm our military forces -- at least while on home soil. After all, there's never, ever been a need for an armed response inside the good ol' U.S.A."
Did I say that? Did I hint that our military should be disarmed?
Y'see, I didn't. But with the conservatives "either-or" mentality, they think we EITHER make NG Armory's into forts, OR we disarm our military.
That's nuts. And I didn't say it. You did. And I don't see the "real" in your world. I see terror, fear, insecurity beyond paranoia.
The American people are wonderful. In a democracy a political party does not need to arm itself against the populace.
And if one locks the tanks, so to speak, it'll be OK. What could a terrorist do? They attacked the WTC, not the Burfel P. Osprey NG Armory over in East Armpit. Because if they did attack the Burfel P. Osprey NG Armory over in East Armpit they'd get squat first and then killed. Even if it didn't have concertina wire and rented chain link fences, fer crissake. Did you ever see those stop anyone? They give a false sense of security. The smarter commanders will NOT rely upon them, will have a human backup anyway. (Probably not FBI, CIA or NSA backup. They're asleep, then yell about everything. Nothing useful either way.)
Arf (giving up on this one. If it were there, you'd have said it.)
