If it frightens you so much, get a bill going in Washington to disarm our military forces -- at least while on home soil. After all, there's never, ever been a need for an armed response inside the good ol' U.S.A.
I know this only adds to your confusion, but I really don’t care. Maybe you can find someone a little closer to home to explain security to you.
Not everyone will ever be pleased with anything the U.S. militaries do, or don't do, in any given situation. As for how they are currently responding to civilian concerns across the nation, I think they’re doing just fine. They are following orders. I would expect nothing less.
Now all you have to do is learn to deal with reality,
Dan
