Armories are SUPPOSED to be forts. That's the whole point. The guys who guard banks are armed too, and they build big steel doors onto the place where the money is kept. Hello?
Odd that people who get indignant over the possibility of a handgun falling into a citizen's hands get freaked out when a facility filled with heavy weapons is tightly guarded.
