Jingoism needs only immature, narrow minds. An education is the enemy of jingoism. Education leads one OUT of the "either - or" and "black - white" view of humanity.

Rather than try to find jingoistic educated people you'd be better off burning the books and closing the colleges.

Look at the screaming on these pages when a college or university wants to teach ABOUT Islam, for instance. Ideas are terrifying to jingoists.

The jingoists seem to believe two things:

One, their ideas are superior, and
Two, anyone who thinks and learns will be sucked into inferior thinking.

If, for instance, one learns ABOUT Islam they will become less Christian. If one learns about Marxism they will become advocates for dictatorship (the way Bush is in Venezuela), which is a double hypocrisy.

Diversity would just be more of the ideas which terrify conservatives, not fewer, or theirs. Because theirs can't stand up to thinking, discernment, a broader view.

Nope, you'd be better off just shutting down institutes of higher learning. They teach people to think, rather than just bomb.
