Learning and "diversity"

<...Two, anyone who thinks and learns will be sucked into inferior thinking.

If, for instance, one learns ABOUT Islam they will become less Christian. If one learns about Marxism they will become advocates for dictatorship (the way Bush is in Venezuela), which is a double hypocrisy.

It is...well, let's just use the term "naive"...to assume that a college professor who is an active advocate of Marxism is not going to influence students to adopt similar views. The anti-American, anti-capitalist, anti-Western view is POUNDED into these kids from all directions on a university campus. I worked at Stanford, and I know what I'm talking about. And Stanford is far from the worst in this regard.

It makes a hell of a big difference if one learns ABOUT Marxism from Fidel Castro, or from Alexander Solzhenitsyn. It makes a hell of a big difference if one learns about capitalism from a Marxist, or from a capitalist.

If it's so damn easy to separate one's viewpoint from one's job, why do you squeal like a stuck pig if a practicing Christian threatens to gain public office?

The fact that conservatism is regarded as about one step above leprosy on a campus indicates that any real diversity of thought on most campuses has a ways to go.

Let me know when they start treating Marxist professors with the same deserved contempt as they would treat a Nazi professor, or a white supremacist, and then maybe we can drop the bias charges.

Diversity would just be more of the ideas which terrify conservatives, not fewer, or theirs. Because theirs can't stand up to thinking, discernment, a broader view.

I think compared to the ideas of Marxism and the Left, the ideas of Western values, capitalism, and freedom have more than stood up to the test of history.
