So, I was absolutely right that the wording at the site was unclear -- except for you?
Your assumption:
- The text at the site that recommended sending *students* to Minnesota. Though they did not specify, I thought it likely that they meant sending students to study in Minnesota schools. If this was not the case, then why would they care that the voters in question be students? A vote is a vote, after all. [I wonder why you all assumed this was not the case?]
...Students are generally young and pliable, just the way schools like them to be. Only teacher-authorized upstarts allowed, thank you very much. And this "was" a DSA request -- so which students do you think they were aiming for? I would have to say those pliable to the DSA code -- and those who wouldn't mind "bending" a law or two to further block the current admin.
And another:
- People who commit crimes only rarely announce their intentions on the internet.
...Ergo, internet fraud is very rare?
Hardly.
"If what they were doing was illegal they will be nailed for it, and very sorry they posted it on the net.
On the other hand, they had sufficient reason to remove it from the net because of the bad publicity.
If Rush attributed it to "the Democrats" as you did (and not to a fringe socialist group, as was actually the case), then I'm certain that they have the entire democratic party after their asses, right now."
Agreed, but Tom's post was in regard to removing the page as a pop-up. My comment was to the fact they had since deleted the page at http://www.dsausa.org/news/minnesota.html altogether.
Is it possible there is a third direction this could have gone, and everyone misunderstood the utter harmlessness of the little ad?

Re: 'You all'? Tit for tat . . .
The whole thread (36 posts)
- Update on "Send a Student to Minnesota."
- When I went to the site I thought...
- You don't usually misrepresent things this badly.
- The only group in Florida suing to see that not all votes cast in Florida were counted was tyhe democrats.
