Of course the Republican Party has gasbrains. I know a couple.
The point I was making was that all through the electoral process, whenever it looked like something might prevent "incompetents, felons, illegal immigrants, the uneducated, and outright mouth breathers" or any illegal voter from voting, for some reason almost everyone assumed that such people would of course vote for Democrats, so that if these people couldn't vote, it was a lost vote for the Democratic Party.
So, the Democrats were fighting against any form of voter IDs, poll watching, voter fraud prevention, etc. They were also assuming that if a person was for some reason unable to figure out the painfully simple mechanics of voting, well, that person must have been going to vote Democrat too.
Hey, it wasn't me that made this assumption, it was the Democratic Party organizers. If you want to talk to somebody about unfair presumptions about the intelligence or honesty of their constituency, talk to them.
