Hey, it wasn't me that made this assumption, it was the Democratic Party organizers. If you want to talk to somebody about unfair presumptions about the intelligence or honesty of their constituency, talk to them.

You started out pretty well, and I'd have admitted that there's undeniable truth in the observation that the Democratic Party caters to the lesser among us, just as the Republicans cater to the elite among us. But then you had to go and get on your high horse, so...

Well, Tom, if the Republicans didn't share that belief--if they thought that "incompetents, felons, illegal immigrants, the uneducated, and outright mouth breathers" would vote Republican in the same proportion as the general population--why did they fight the Democrats at every turn?

In other words, to get back to where we started, an "elitist, condescending view" is not the sole province of the Democrats. Far, far, from it.

I'm done with that little poke in the ribs. Time to turn in. The flu's hitting me like Sherman hit Georgia...
