Every groups has extremists. Your comments are like calling republicans murderers because of the extreme anti-abortionists who have committed murder in the name of "right to life". Extremism on one side drives extremism on the other. There is no place for comments like yours and Robs in rational debate over the environment.

Polls clearly show most americans are concerned about the environment a stance clearly not paid attention to by many republican leaders. I think this is one of the key factors keeping Republicans from winning large majorities rather than thin ones. Much of the Democrats liberal program is no longer popular, but Republican disregard for the environment, obvious favoritism towards business, and disregard for other kitchen table issues balances their pluses in other areas. It is a big part of why there are so many people like me that refuse to identify with either party.

When Republican can come up with real compromises which BALANCE protecting the environment whith creating new jobs they will become more popular. Extremist environmentalists will also find fewer listeners.
