This wasn't some private conversation at Strom's granddaughter's house.
Whether Lott made a racist remark or not is somewhere I'm not even gonna go. That he would make a statement like this in a speech at a nationally covered event makes him ineffective as a national leader of a major party.
You'd think such a staunch supporter of the Second would know enough to keep the safety on that mouth of his. This isn't the first time he's shot it off carelessly.
