It was a silly thing to say.
Thurmond is a very American and very human person.
He has done god and bad in his long life.
He ahs been a very good Sentaor for his entire state, justly respected for excellent constituent services to all from his state.
He was a WWII hero and fought at Normandy as a paratrooper.
But his run for the WH in 1948 was not one of them.
And Truman, by the way, is the guy who desegregated the Army, stood up to the KKK and moved things for African Americans farther forward than most know.
As to the Kennedys or Byrd, I don't give a crap what those slimeballs do. We are talking about Trent.
He needs to clarify this NOW.
