I'm not stalking you, Tom, it's just that I was about to post something on suppression of dissent, when I saw you'd gotten here first to address it. Civil liberties are one of my biggest hot buttons, and it seems from time to time that it's one of yours, too.
Still waiting for the first protestor to get tossed into a secret prison for protesting.
How would we know?
If protest is being suppressed in this country, the suppressors are doing a shit-poor job of it.
Sounds like you didn't follow the two links at the end of the animation. It looks like the Bush Regime has developed an SOP for suppressing dissent by making it invisible to the media. Can you possibly justify moving attendees at a photo-op who are holding critical signs 200 yards away into a fenced pen, in the name of "security"; while allowing pro-Bush attendees to decorate the photo op with smiling faces and messages of support? How is this not a blatant violation of the First Amendment?
What does it have to do with security? Would a potential assassin signal his intentions by holding a sign that would get him removed from the view of the cameras and proximity to his victim?
