Probably easier to run the goverment by taxing the rich, and leaving them wealthy, than the slavery which would come from taxing the poor.
Now, what about that double taxation? Why is it unfair double taxation on dividends, but just dandy on wages through the sales taxes, property taxes, excise taxes?
I haven't seen any conservatives complain about that. Maybe it's because wage-earners aren't wealthy, as a rule?
