Re: Guilty

I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to food, which goes a long way to explaining why my clothes keep shrinking in the closet. I have no problem eating the same thing day after day. I guess that comes from growing up as the youngest of 5 kids (4 boys). Being picky meant being hungry.

My wife and I do most of our grocery shopping at Wal Mart because it's cheap and it's close. We do buy some things at Sam's, but most of the quantities are just too big for the two of us. It isn't a bargain if it ends up spoiling before it can be eaten.

Breakfast is normally a couple slices of toast (or a cheap bagel), some SlimFast, and coffee (whatever's on sale).

I have a bread machine but have not used it in a long time. I buy generic Wal Mart wheat bread for 74 cents a loaf. That's enough to have toast for breakfast and a peanut butter sandwich for lunch for a week. A bottle of peanut butter costs about $3 at Sam's and lasts for about 3 weeks. I like peanut butter and eat it just about every day at work. A 12 pack of soda (whatever's on sale, I'm not picky) normally costs $2.50 (or less if I get the Wal Mart brand), or roughly 21 cents per can. A soda, a peanut butter sandwich, an apple, and a banana is what I eat for lunch every day during the week and the cost is roughly $1 a day.
