Re: Comparing

The problem is that missiles are not going to be the delivery system for WMD.

They will be passed by hand and brought into this country across our boarders or into our ports.

I don't think you can argue that Iraq is "coming clean" and laying out their inventory for the world to see. They have had twelve years to develop and hide WMD

Until 9/11 it was not obvious (to us) that the US could be hit, and hurt. Bin Laden effectively demonstrated our weakness and left the door wide open for his followers and anyone that has a desire to see harm come to America.

Sure we can deter Saddam from further outward aggression, 'contain' him if you
will, but we can't stop him from stepping through the door Bin Laden opened.

I'm against war...but so is Collen Powel. I think everyone here doesn't want to stand witness to the death and destruction war will bring. But as Powell says, "sometimes war is necessary" and I think this is one of those times. Thinking otherwise is just delaying the inevitable. The consequences of inaction are not acceptable.

Tech1,
Being against the war doesn't make one "Pro-Saddam" or a "Traitor". If it were possible to painlessly extract Saddam, his people and his weapons like an abscessed tooth,
there would be little dissention.
