You're a riot, SDAITech1.
What factor is present in the situation with Iraq that's missing from all the examples in your list?
...India and Pakistan shell eachother in Kashmir?
...Russia bombs the hell out of Chechnya?
...months long civil war in the Ivory Coast?
Answer: The involvement of the US government.
Talk about willfully obtuse! As an American I'm responsible for the actions of my government, and in theory we have the power to influence the actions of our government; while I have no power over the actions of any other government.
National self-interest begins at home. Bush has failed to make a case that any vital US interest is threatened in proportion to the cost in lives and money of a war with Iraq.
