(And oh yeah...Open up the borders and let in the world's refuse less we offend some foreign governments...)
...I respectfully suggest you pay attention to the source of much of America's talent and dynamism. One nation's refuse is another nation's (usually our nation's) new promise.
Who knows? With an attitude like the one you expressed, you may even be dissing some of your own ancestors.

I'm amazed that people will continue to claim that, in 8 short years, Bill Clinton and his band of merry Democrats managed to screw up the Middle East to such an extent that 9/11 can be laid right at the door of the Clinton Administration. You might just as well blame the Bush the Elder Administration for the triumph of the Taliban in Afghanistan. Who, after all, once the Soviets had given up, just walked away from the ruined country, leaving religious zealots as the only organizing force in a smashed society?
In a 1996 article for The Middle East Quarterly that is far from complimentary of the Clinton Administration (which was, at the time, still in office), Benjamin Gordon remarked:
I should note that the Clinton administration is not alone to blame in its policy toward fundamentalist Islam. In the seventeen years and four U.S. administrations since the fall of the shah, not one U.S. official has issued a statement detailing the threat of fundamentalist Islamic ideology. In the three hundred plus speeches and documents dealing with Middle Eastern policy, I have found only passing references to fundamentalism in the context of Iran, terrorism, and the Arab-Israeli conflict. Not a single speech has acknowledged fundamentalism as a threat and defined the scope of the challenge.
Not only the Evil Democrats, Carter and Clinton, are included in this cogent observation, but also Lord Ronald the Good and Sir George the Not-Quite-As-Good-As-Lord-Ronald.
Also, international affairs have a rude way of ignoring American politics and proceding on their own timeline, sometimes overlapping administrations' cast changes. This means that the blame is spread around a little.
So let's get down off our high horses, shall we?
WorldNetDaily is a good place to go for amusement, but its Manichean view of politics is no place to get a nuanced picture of world events.
