First of all, Clooney has no "great military experience", so your heading AND asumption was wrong.

Sadam has not directly threatened us and if you buy into the fact that if we bomb Bagdad to smithereens that we'll all be safer, then you are sorely mistaken. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are MUCH more dangerous to us. We need co-operation to find and curb the rebels. Read my "Dancing with the Devil" post. Oh, we didn't get Bin Laden BTW, he probably "escaped" through the no-fly zone we set up for 2,500 AlQueda members to get from Afgaanistan to Pakistan before we started our "war on Bin Laden". Now it's this "war with Iraq".

He could very well be right. We're not in there to just take out Sadam, but to take over his country, install a puppet government and control his oil reserves. If you think it's because he has WMD and we're all at risk, then the media and the propaganda have you cowering for your perceived safety.
