Lindy: "Tom, you well-meaning buffoon, can't you see Bush and the right wing conspirators orchestrated this Iraq war during Iran-Contra...it may even have been planned by Nixon when he was Ike's VP..."
Bowser: "Saddam is no threat. WMD are peachy keen. It's all lies...no bad guys in the middle east except you-know-who who are protected by you-know-who."
Raoul: "We exist!"
Marcia:"You Go Tom! Here's Dennis Miller's Take on it!"
Right now Jack the Ripper, Manson, Dahmer and the Hillside Strangler could be partying with Saddam, raping and killing women, cannibalizing yet others, and the left would still find Bush to be the biggest danger to the world.
I was going through an old Life mag from '64 and saw how France under De Gaulle then promoted a "neutralist course" to deal with North Vietnamese aggression. The South Vietnamese were livid and embraced the US, much as Iraqi dissidents have embraced the US as their future-liberator from tyranny.
Not much has changed.
France is still appeasing the monsters of the world. Moral fortitude and France can be put together like oil and water.
I personally hope the French veto the latest resolution. It will give them no voice in post-Saddam Iraq whatsoever and we will personally push out the Saddam-Loving French and german citizens, munition and oil company representatives with deportation orders- of course we will do this for their own "safety" due to the anti-French and anti-German sentiment which may cause them to be hung or worse.
The French and Germans have already cost us hundreds of millions of dollars in extra expenses - we will make up for this loss one way or another.
Sound harsh?
It should.
We already are risking our necks to keep the world and europe safer, as we have for 60 years, and we don't need "friends" like these anymore. In fact - we have almost no use for them whatsoever in a post-cold war world - at least no more than we have need for any other European nation.
As for France...hardi comme un coq sur son fumier.
En USA est ma fiance.
