Re: Possible answer

Well, after this war is done, which *could be* 24 hrs from now, that coalition will most definitely grow much larger- Hell, France said they wanted to join with miltary assistance if Saddam uses any WMD. True, we declined the offer. But in a sense, it was "somewhat" useful/helpful.
It would also be *very* difficult for the US to do this without "some kind of support" from Arab countries in the region.
There is no doubt that we are attempting to do the right thing. The fact that even some deranged Demoncrats are hedging against this war, should help explain why some countries aren't publicly enthusiastic.
As far as calling the Sec of Defense, Rummie, a weasel, I can't think of better example of anti-weasel. The fact is that some world leaders don't like that we live in a democracy in which public servants can express their opinion, is just something they are going to have learn to tolerate.
BUT if "Rummie" was still a member of the State Dept- that might be a different story- perhaps their problem is they don't realize what job "Rummie" currently has.
Btw, it's not the govt's job to give a "balanced objective view" that's the function of the Free Press. When the govt takes over the job of the Press, then you get propaganda regardless of how "balanced & objective" it appears.
