Re: No

From commonly available sources (not the major newsfeeds!) It is apparent that the stiff resistance that will come is encircling Baghdad. The ‘Special Republican Guards’, what few will be left by then. And, those Suicide recruits from various countries, I caught a segway on one of the shows about a number who had come to Iraq to ‘defend it against the ‘Imperial Yanqui cowboy Bush’.

So far so good, a lot of credit can be given to the Psychological Warfare division. The millions of leaflets dropped over the last few weeks are paying off. Not to add the Iraqi commanders who got phone calls on the personal cell phones and very interesting E-Mails in their inbox.

Watched Tech TV last night, The Screen Savers one of the hosts showed a ‘blog’ and a number of websites in Iraq. The Iraqi internet is still up, the phones are working in Baghdad, the water’s still running and the power is on.
It appears that the precision bombing is aimed at Command and Control almost exclusively.
A full scale Air Assault would have taken out all those utilities on the second wave.

I admire the way they are handling this so far, the flexibility of the Coalition is amazing to someone from the Viet Nam era.
