I heard on the radio this morning about a Marine armored outfit that was moving so fast, it didn't even stop to accept the surrender of an Iraqi unit parked with white flags flying. Sooner or later, someone will have to accept their surrender, but the goal right now is to reach Baghdad as quickly as possible.
I heard on the news this morning that B-52s have launched from England, so it's possible some form of "shock and awe" is still in the works. We'll likely know in a few hours. I hope they target Repubican Guard outfits outside of Baghdad. I'd do that very shortly before our units arrive.
There's still some question about Saddam's status. One report indicated he was seen being carried out of the rubble in a stretcher wearing an oxygen mask. Some intel analysts believe he might've been killed or seriously wounded because it doesn't seem he's in control of his military. The CIA believes that was him on Iraqi TV yesterday but they think it was a tape, not live. There's no way to know for sure if the tape was recorded before or after the attack.
