We did leave them high and dry. Many that were counting on us were killed because they did. They were killed by Saddam’s regime.
That was in 1991. The US screwed up. Bush Sr. screwed up and left Saddam in charge. He should have told the UN to go stuff themselves. We made a commitment to these people and we will stick by it. This is now. We will not make that mistake again. We will not leave them high and dry.
George W. IMO, is stronger than his dad. I don’t think he came into office that strong, but when the going got tough, so did he.
