A distillate is not the original, as anyone who has drunk a wine glass of brandy at dinner will tell you, once he climbs up off the floor.

History "distilled" without evidence and its citation has a genre heading in my business: historical fiction. Some of it is better and some of it is worse, but all of it is fiction.

Passing off fiction as history is dishonest.

I found Robert's bland little request for a citation last night. Butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. I wonder if he'll get a reply.
