Wow.

That GPS is fascinating.

I know I'd want my dedicated GPS for wilderness use. There are very detailed maps of the backcountry, trails, elevations, all manner of information which is useful. I like the idea of this tablet as an MP3 player for audio books, a reader, a phone in urban settings, a browser, and email. And quite possibly as a camera.

In town it would be nice as a GPS, MP3 player, phone and browser. The idea that it can find and use various WiFi networks is extremely attractive. I have no interest in getting on a data plan with my cell phone provider.

There are adapters for just about everything which can take AA batteries and charge them. I'm sure they have one for these. If one gets a pack of adapters they can quit worrying about battery life. It's especially nice if one can find generic lithium batteries from overseas. I once purchased 50 of them for around $30 and they worked wonderfully.

Again, thanks. I believe you've saved me $150 and saved me from getting something which would not have been useful. And I do, of course, have another question.

What do apps for something like this typically cost? If one were going to load it up with about everything which came my way, what would be an approximate cost?

Thanks some more and again.
