The interesting thing is that Democracy has been successful in both Japan and Germany
There was only ONE Arab democracy, Lebanon, set up by France. It had a typical French splinter-party parliamentary system which disintegrated when the PLO invaded in 1970, resulting in a civil war followed by occupation by Syria which continues to this day. I wonder why the international community never protests Syrian occupation of Lebanon. Because Syria is not Israel.
