Krugman is full of it.
"Many Americans turned to the BBC?" Well, maybe Krugman did. And a few friends. Most Americans turned to Fox News, with CNN and MSNBC following. The networks were somewhere in the back. God knows what the actual BBC ratings were.
I suppose Krugman is pissed that only the BBC excelled at delivering the constant drumbeat of anti-war news that he wished all the news sources had.
How he comes to the conclusion that being regulated by the government results in a pro-government media bias, but being owned by the government would not, is beyond my comprehension.
