Unfortunately, the reasonable liberals aren't the ones hogging the public soapboxes right now. The Talking Point of the Day is that Bush is lying, and/or forced the CIA to deliver misleading information, and that point is being pounded into our heads daily by Democrats in Washington, and the liberal media.
I hope you would agree that people who came to the conclusion that there were such weapons, based on what the administration said, should be expected to have done so? It's not necessarily a bad thing to believe the president and secretary of state
Nice try, but most of these people quoted here received independent briefings, and came to their own conclusions, which leaves the President out of the loop. Certainly people like Chirac (or the many other foreign leaders who agreed that Saddam had WMD) didn't get their primary data from the CIA. And what of those listed who arrived at the identical conclusions about WMD during the Clinton administration? Did Bush cook those reports too?
Ritter quoted his source as UNSCOM. Did Bush put pressure on them in 1998? And what about Ritter? Was he lying then, or is he lying now?
