The rocket test facility used by Rotary Rocket is still in use by various outfits. XCOR bought most of the company's other assets. The ATV test vehicle will hopefully end up in a museum near San Diego. I had been hoping for the museum near me, but any museum is fine by me.
I myself have worked on designs based on other people's surplused hardware, mostly NASA or the Russians, though.
