It's clear you're a Bush partisan, because you--like your colleagues--want this to be about something besides what it's really about: The Bush Regime's insistence that it absolutely, positively, knew for certain that Iraq has--present tense up until the war--ongoing programs to develop weapons of mass destruction, and that those programs constitute an imminent, clear and present danger.
We've known for a long time about Iraq's nuclear program in the years around the first Gulf War. Finding more proof of that old program is only proof of a present program in the minds of Bush partisans. "they would have dug all this stuff up and continued" is wishful speculation. If they had a nuclear program, why didn't they dig up that stuff?
I feel for you guys. It's clear from the strident attempts to spin the issue away from its core that you can see that Bush is in trouble over this. I too want my country to have done the right thing...but unlike Bush partisans, if Bush did the wrong thing, by god I want it brought to light and Bush to face the consequences. With a Republican lock on Congress and the Supreme Court, Bush's ass is well-covered, so it's up to the people to keep the issue from being swept under the rug.
