Ongoing research for nearly 60 years in Antarctica is all the examples we need of living in a harsh cold enviroment. So why the Mars Society hype? Sell books? Get funding for other silly projects where grown men make complete rear-ends of themselves in canvas spacesuits. There is a thin line between your canvas space suit and the canvas-all used in psychiatric hospitals to secure dangerous patitients.

Chris writes: Another strawman. We are not researching how to live in a harsh environment, we are doing Human Factors research and thus designing equipment and techniques for Mars. It has nothing to do with the environmental extremes at Devon or Hanksville that we choose them. They are Mars analog geology and morphologies in these two deserts. It's like talking to a brick! This is what makes me think you are retarded, Barry!

Barry wrote: Your theatrics about playing Mr. Spaceman on Mars is becoming recognized by many. The game will be over soon. Beagle 2 lands in December. I know you would like it to be unsucessful. I read your erroneous post (as are most all of your posts) about the Beagle 2 lander
not obtaining a signal from Mars Express when just the opposite was true. You only read what you want to read.

Chris writes: Hum tell us who has "recognized" us besides you and the other nut EP?

The opposite was not true. No comms problem was reported by either spacecraft. Partly because they haven't turned on Beagle II yet to have it have any comms problem! You comprehend what you want to comprehend. The problem was in a memory unit within ME, but the Russians wrote it was with Beagle II. Very probable a translation error.
