Give me a break...

Geez, did you even READ the excerpt? I have already demonstrated in several posts that the news is almost completely one-sided to the negative. Hell, a lot of the stories I have read online this morning are downplaying the deaths of Saddam's sons. Nobody is sorry to see them dead, but it's obvious that a lot of them are damn sorry that this takes some pressure off of Bush. And of course, it's all about Bush.

How many Americans are aware that our forces are actively pursuing and engaging enemy forces? Capturing many and destroying weapons? The impression that is deliberately being given in the press is that our forces are sitting around scratching themselves while enemy forces are taking pot shots at them with little or no effort.

If it's all about what's happening in Iraq, then find me one major story in the mainstream press about progress in services, reconstruction, or any major step forward. The media shrieked for weeks about the miserable situation in Iraqi hospitals right after the war. Now that they are up and running, did you hear about that?

In fact, one can pretty much gauge the positive progress of our efforts in Iraq and elsewhere by paying attention to those things that are not mentioned in the news stories.

A vast majority of the people working in the mainstream media would saw an arm off to see Bush lose the next election. If he were impeached, that would be heaven. That this is reflected in their work is not surprising. That they would love to recreate their last great triumph, the fall of Vietnam, is not surprising either.
