Clinton lost my respect as well. It was not trivial either. But I was trying to compare his actions with that of our new president and his pre-emptive WAR, you know.......raining down death and destruction.
And now we blame Clinton on 9/11 just because it happened on his watch?
The CIA and the FBI were covering their actions (or inactions) and the Bush administration was covering up the WHOLE thing. The Bush's financial link to the Saudis were an embarrassment and a big no-no for the American people. Bush allowed some Saudis to fly to Saudi Arabia when all other planes were grounded across America, and the links to he and his fathers' Carlyse Group have never been explained. Instead of pursuing the Saudis and their terrorist links, we started bombing Afganistan and Iraq (conveniently) for their oil. I still see it this way.
So, where I was comparing the immorality of extra-marital sex and lieing about it.......... to the immorality of a "pre-emptive"war in a country we shouldn't be in with our full resources while lying about the reeasons for being there, while thousands of innocent people DIE and hundreds of thousands more have been inconvenienced.......well, that's two different things in my book.
