About half the Americans agree with us and most of the rest of the world. How arrogant of the US to yell "Uncle" while we're in the quicksand. Before we jumped, everyone told us NOT to. We even threatened and co-erced them to jump with us. They ignored us. (I wonder why.)
So, who's going to throw us the rope? Who's going to save the bully?
I have missed replying to posts of yours and Pete's and Dans' because of time constraints (and I DO apologize). But I read some of your stuff, and HAVE to reply, even if I only get a few liberals over here to agree with me. Raoul has made some GREAT points, and STILL you gloss over them like they really don't matter. More and more, I think you're in some think tank as a policy maker. You sound like a personal cheerleader for Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz.
I can see some people LOVING the Bush family and think they personify what is GOOD about America, but most of the people I've talked to, think he's a moron. And that his policies are whacked. Mind you, I still meet people who think he's the cat's meow. They are usually comfortably rich, are slightly brainwashed and could care less what the TRUTH is, because they believe the LIES. They are just plain comfortable. They only care about how THEIR world is going.
Sadam's massive torture chambers. Not good. Thousands dead, ....well, are we now UNICEF? Are we now the God driven caretakers of the world? Do we go into countries and try and solve their problems? (No, only the ones who have the resources we want).
>"However, when a group of disgruntled people (i.e. liberals), get together and feel they've somehow been ripped off (i.e. last two elections), and are eager for revenge and comeuppance - you have a group that is in much the same position as were the Germans and are now ready to sacrifice their own morals and humanity for victory."
Wow! What a mouthful. I'd spit it out if I were you.
We just want the monkey out of office. He's no leader, no diplomat, no politician that can soothe the worlds' woes, or even take charge with enough support and confidence to get OTHERS to follow him. He uses force, cash and intimidation. Great leader.
Oh, by the way, did I mention he LIES?
>"When Lindy posted her Euro blood & guts propaganda bit - I was reminded immediately of this old tactic."
Okay, Mr. No Heart. You can see the "propaganda" in the photo, but you can't see the "propaganda" used to go in there in the first place. Do you think Americans would have amassed our armies and be spending BILLIONS a month to throw out an evil and corrupt dictator in the God forsaken Middle East? Do you think if THAT was the reason we went into Iraq, that Americans would have been behind the INVASION?? Don't think so!
>"you have already let the insidious evil of the anti-Bush power-grabbers turn your hearts into pieces of granite."
My heart is not made of stone. We went to war because of the immediate threat from Sadam's WMD....now YOU have this thought that we did it to save the children??
>"How can WWII have been worth fighting and yet not someone who was just as great an evil as Hitler?"
Thousands do not equal MILLIONS. There was more to WWII than mass graves in the desert.
>" What the left is becoming is far worse than their image of George Bush, .... cold, heartless shells of self-interest exploiting others suffering."
Wow, that's another mouthful I'd spit out. You're wrong here. (You know that don't you?)
>"I am saddened when I see such otherwise bright people play into the hands of the modern day Goebbels."
You are way off base here, and you are using some twisted drama to make us look like the enemy. We are NOT the enemy!
>"I feel like the suicidal guy who has to obey his conscience and say, "Mensch, verprügle doch die Juden nicht!" on Kristall Nacht as the windows come crashing down around me and the madness goes unrecognized."
I have no idea what that means, but you can defend your beliefs until you're blue in the face.
WE see the madness behind BUSH, ao don't take it so personal that a few of us here on these boards don't agree with the monkey boy. There are PLENTY who agree with US. So defend him against all the rest. You can't.
Use the wave form train. Every action causes a RE-ACTION.
The wave's just rolling back.
