Tom, rich people don't need any help from me. They have their own resources, they are not exactly suffering. Why are your heroes justified in fighting the ticket in court, but Buffett is not? Why is it liberal rock stars and Hollywood types are "hypocrites" if they empathize with the unfortunate and have the audacity to say so? Do you have to don sackcloth and ashes to say the tax code favors the rich?

Is the fact that they feel things are stacked against others mean they should be forbidden to speak favorably on other's behalf. It's that old class traitor thing, isn't it? You can't can't stand it when the ragged people do well, unless they accept your philosophy without question. And you cannot tolerate those who are prosperous when they sympathize with those who are not.

But I think what really steams you is that no matter how much you buy into the program, nothing good seems to happen for you. You feel betrayed, put upon, ratted on, shat upon. So it must be someone elses fault: the statists, the socialists, the looters, the liberals, and now...the moderates and the RINOs. John Lennon skewered that kind of hypocrisy (when exhibited by the Left) when he wrote

"But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao,
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow."

The Right doesn't care about the size of government and taxes, they care about their taxes and the government regulations that restrict their ability to accumulate. The programs they favor, like prisons, courts and the military, and their own contracts and subsidies, never lack for funding.

Turning around your criticism of Mr Buffet, perhaps the Koch Brothers and other GOP billionaire PAC contributors should use those millions they are pouring into Tea Party campaigns and help pay the oppressive taxes of all those poor, victimized millionaires out there instead.
