As big as necessary?
I think there is excellent evidence that government was as big as necessary when it was a trillion dollars smaller than it is now. Less than a dozen years ago.
There is also excellent evidence that the current Democratic Party has no upper limit on how big and powerful they think government should be. Every single policy they put forward, for every major issue, increases the size and power of the State. Every single one.
This is what Statism is.
