re: The problem with the charges

ED: "Is that the LA Times has been totally busted for playing with the timing on this, and coordinating the news with the CA dnc, while spiking stories relevant to Davis's abuse of his staff while in office, including physically shoving staff around."

MY REPLY: That's just right wing radio gossip, Ed. Its utter nonsense. The authors for the L.A. Times story had no association wiuth the DNC. And, of course the timing is "suspect," it occured during the height of a political campaign for god's sakes. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Don't the voters have a right to know who they are votring for? This story isn't about the L.A. Times and their motives, its about thirty years of sexual harrassment.

By the way "screwing junior staff on the job" is not illegal. It may be very bad judgement, but its not illegal. Unwanting groping is illegal - its essential a form of assault. The standard for sexual harrassment is that the behavior in question is "unwilling and unwanted." Consensual sex among office partners may be poor judgement on the part of both parties, but its not illegal.
