Nice depressing write up

Had the US not shot down the US supersonic craft the tech-world and even space travel situation would be in an entirely different place.

So much time saved by billions over the decades; human efficiency magnified a hundred-fold.

I find the whole thing distressing. So much work and money had gone into the competing all-titanium designs (vastly superior in all ways to the Concorde FYI) by Boeing and McDonnell Douglas, that the environmentalists and naysayers could kill it based on noise is one of humanity's retrogressive moments. Now they just need to kill cars and bring back horse travel so we can embrace the same horses--t the environmentalists seem to love.

If I sound bitter - It's because I am.
