re: Concorde farewell

Those pictures reminded me of the time many years ago when the Concord actually flew into LAX in Los Angeles. I was working at a building right on Imperial Highway that runs along just south of the south runway at LAX. It had been announced that the Concord was coming into LAX at about 3 O' Clock. And would be on display and open for tours for a short time. I remember watching it land from the 5th floor of our building and looked down on Imperial and saw the biggest traffic jam I ever saw on Imperial. Thousands of cars lined up from the display point, just west of Sepulveda blv., all the way past the 405 freeway about 4 or 5 miles. All of these people were going to see the Concord. It was an amazing sight!
