As well as the rest of your opinions, we will jsut have to agree to disagree.
It was not just lower rates that ended the last recession.
Nor was it jsut low % that ended this one.
It is and is always the willingness of Americans to work hard and spend hard that ends recessions, when their work and spending is given a chance.
Low rates and low taxes help a lot.
The dems did everything they could to limit the stimulus of the lower taxes by limiting its availability to as many as they could, but they failed. The President ultimately got tax relief to everyone on an = proportion, although many who pay no taxes got money misnamed as 'tax relief'.
But more importantly the economy is a cyclical function that can only be slowed or sped up so much.
The dems hoped by chanting 'Bush recession' to repeat the libel that helped clinton and perot unseat Bush 41 in '92. That recession was in fact over well before the election of 1992. The recession that 911 extended had started before Bush 43 ever took office, and was a very mild recession. The hysterical reaction to it makes one wonder what the dems would do if there was a strong recession. They certianly had no cool, steady approach to this one.
