Care to elaborate?
I was not certain that the Bush tax cuts would accomplish anything since there are economists that say there is a point of diminishing returns similar to the reduction of interest rates when they are already very low.
It does appear that the Bush tax cuts have stimulated the economy as did the Reagan and Kennedy tax cuts. New tax revenues have already impacted the anticipated deficits. Employment is lagging but expected to catch up next year. If so, the tax cuts will be fully vindicated, it seems to me. Unfortunately, none of this prevents either party from misusing the bounty.
I share you cynicism regarding party politics but in this instance, if it works, it works and the motives are only for speculation.
Being right for the wrong reasons can eventually bite you but being wrong for the right reasons is a dismal alternative.
