The reference was to DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND. There was no more intent to generalize than if you had linked a KKK or NAZI site.

There are people on the left that celebrate casualties and hope for another 9-11.

There are people on the right that would celebrate nuclear annilation of all Arabs, NK and Iran.

There are people on the left that will never admit the Bush economy is healthy if unemployment was 1% and personal income up 100%'

There are people on the right that will never admit that taxes are necessary and some entitlements are good.

The difference is conservatives know there are people like that out there on the right but liberals sometimes seem unwilling to believe that there are embarrassing opinions on their side of the aisle

We have invited the UN to participate, call it an olive branch if you wish but we are not begging them for anything. To call it a "mess" is your opinion.

"This has done SEVERE damage to our relations with our allies, and to how we are viewed by the world... This has made the middle east MORE unstable, and has made the US less secure in the long run."

This is your opinion. A significant number of intelligent people in the world don't agree that the damage is SEVERE compared to what it was nor do they believe that the region is more unstable and the US less secure, particularly in the long run. I do not consider you stupid for holding your beliefs, I just think you are wrong. One of us will be proven wrong eventually. Meanwhile there are articulate people that hate Bush for living and articulate people that compare him to Churchill and other historical greats.

Some people who hold your opinion or mine will never admit they were wrong. I will not be one of them. If we don't have it sorted out to a point that progress and positives are obvious in a couple of years, I will admit a failure of policy or execution and accept abuse and ridicule for being a fool.

All things being equal I will be here to take the heat.
